Rocket Man - UK 12" Single

Out of the three formats of this single that I bought: the CD digipak, the 7" single with the wraparound poster and the 12" vinyl release, the 12" is probably my favourite out of the three. It's also the first of the three that I bought back in 1991. I am also aware that this had a cassette single release, but I wasn't into cassette singles at the time (if I could avoid it), so I never bothered to buy one.

The 12" single is probably my favourite because it has the least stupidest packaging out of all the formats this was available in at the time. That said, this single unfortunately comes in a very flimsly sleeve. It's probably the most flimsy sleeve out of all of Kate's releases, and it surprises me to this day that I've been able to keep mine in decent condition, to be honest.

The front and back of the 12" sleeve is identical to the design layout of the other formats, but it is interesting how the 12" record labels differ to the ones on the 7" single release. You can look at that post right here if you want to.
